The 2014 Fiat 500 1957 Edition launches the past into the future.

The Italian automaker Fiat is paying homage to it's past while introducing the Fiat 500 1957 Edition.

It's been 57 years since the iconic Cinquencento made it's debut in 1957, and the new 500 is back with it's unique styling elements, the retro-styled 16-inch wheels and, of course, a good ol' fashioned manual transmission.

The 2014 Fiat 500 1957 edition will feature beautiful leather trim, along with the sport-tuned suspension and all-season performance tires. The Fiat 500 1957 Edition will be powered by it's 1.4-liter MultiAir four-cylinder engine along with a five-speed manual transmission. it will also be  available in a six-speed automatic.

Chrysler said this about the release of the 1957 Edition, "for Italian car and design fans who want an added sense of historic Cinquecento's spirit". Pricing is still to come, but this looks like it's shaping up to be a hot seller come the new year.

Join the conversation, what do you think about the 1957 Edition?

The New Honda Civic Type R

The hot hatch market is really starting to include some unsuspecting competitors and now we have the next generation Civic Type R to look at too. The car was shown in 'production spec' with no camouflage so we can expect to see it officially unveiled very soon. It shares all of the bodywork from the standard Civic but it is given bolt-on elements to beef up the racing look of the car. This is quite in-your-face with the big rear wing and 4 large exhaust pipes so you are bound to turn your head a lot more when seeing this compared to the Golf GTI.

So what is powering this new little monster? A 2.0-litre VTEC Turbo which will produce over 280 hp and in conjunction with a limited slip differential we are looking at a track hungry car. Why are they making such a big fuss about this car you may ask well to put it simply, Honda want to knock Renault off the perch of fastest FWD production car around the Nurburgring. Stay tuned for some official stats and photo's.

The new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Final Edition

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Edition

The news we all didn't want to hear, Mercedes-Benz has announced 2014 will be the last year for the magnificent Mercedes Benz SLS AMG. Launched in 2009, the gull-winged SLS AMG was an instant classic,  and has seen tons of special editions and upgrades. So after the news we knew Mercedes-Benz would go out with a bang and sure enough they delivered. The SLS AMG GT Final Editions, which will debut at the LA Auto Show is coming, and with only a limited run of 350 units they won't be here for long.

SLS AMGbenz super car exotic

Available as both a coupe with the famous gull-wing doors or as a roadster, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Final Edition's will be sold out upon start of production. I'm not too keen on the black hood with the red paint but that's just me. We eagerly await the release of the car at the LA Auto Show and can't wait to see what the future customers plan on doing to their new super cars.

The McLaren P1 is Sold Out

The McLaren P1 Is Sold Out.

All 375 McLaren P1's have been spoken for

We still do not know if the McLaren P1 obtained that insane Nurburgring time (a reported 6:47) or not but it seemed to boost interest in the vehicle because the order books are now closed. McLaren announced today that all 375 P1's that are currently being produced are spoken for, so if you are in the hybrid hypercar market, then you might have to settle for a  Porsche 918 Spyder.

There is also an additional waiting list  in the case where someone drops out of their order. It seems these buyers do not care about the Nurburgring lap time but rather exclusivity and the P1 delivers on this note seeing as there will be 499 LaFerrari's and Porsche are hoping to sell 918 of their Spyder's.

Motorcycle vs. Car Drift Battle 3 in HD

Looks like the guys at  are back for another insane installment of their hit Motorcycle vs. Car Drift Battle series. Monster Energy's Ernie Vigil and  are the stars of the show on their tricked out 204HP Turbo Triumph Daytona sportbikes. It is unreal the control they have over their bikes, it looks so fluid but at the same time scares the hell out of me.

The crazy buggy making it's appearance in this video is a 850hp X2R which could go anywhere and decimate anything. Watch the full 12 minutes of this Motorcycle vs. Car Drift Battle and you won't be disappointed.
